IL COLPO Shenzhen explore the gray scale from marble materials to concrete surfaces, a touch of copper lines have been added to bring a warm detail to the space.

From the understanding of classic Roman design, the use of pure forms was also connected with the possibilities of the materials at that time. Arcs, cylinders, cubes or planes where combined and arranged together.

We also analyzed the elevation of the classic geometries and created an abstraction of it. In that way the base of the vertical elements like columns or walls gives the impression of not touching the floor.

A 3cm gap allow us to give individuality to each element so they can behave independently from each other. On the top this elements are also not touching the ceiling by a 50cm recess white painting area which is also emphasized by a lighting up effect.

Due to the elongated proportion of the site in the horizontal axis we divided the space in 3 parts. The front, the body and the end. Each of them with some singularities. The shopfront and the color section are made by cylindrical geometry.

The hair cut section is made by repetition of the same element which enhance the perspective, brings sophistication and high ending mood and create a rhythm. Along the both sides of this area we created a contrast between a glass wall to the lobby and a stone wall to the inner space.

Through the stone wall we pass from grayscale to colorful VIP rooms which helps to create uniqueness, individuality and privacy. After the vip room a dark gray area is set for the washing hair and relaxation.
